The Coffee debuts in Cancún with a Japanese concept, Chiapas beans, and artisanal pastries. Discover Bonampak’s newest hotspot.
The Coffee, blending Japanese minimalism with Mexican beans, wins over coffee lovers on Bonampak Avenue.
Right on Bonampak Avenue, next to the gas station near Puerto Cancún, The Coffee has opened its doors — an international franchise with a Japanese-inspired concept making its debut in Cancún. It’s quickly becoming a must-visit spot for true coffee enthusiasts.
Originally from Brazil and already present in several countries, The Coffee stands out for its minimalist design and tech-forward service: all orders are placed through a tablet, and payments are card-only. Its menu features both hot and cold drinks made with premium Mexican coffee from Chiapas, along with freshly baked artisanal pastries made in-house.
Though compact — around 60 square meters — the café’s contemporary atmosphere and irresistible aroma have made it the new sensation on Bonampak. Among the crowd favorites are the Sora Milk Tea, house-made pastries, and the grilled sandwich.
Sharing the space with the Mexican sportswear brand Maja, The Coffee is already planning to expand with two more locations — one in Puerto Cancún and another in Malecón Américas.
Like any new venture, there’s still room for improvement — especially in facilities and maintenance — but its blend of quality, style, and simplicity has already earned it a place among the city’s most talked-about coffee spots.
Average ticket: $300 pesos MX per person.
