Locals and foreigners can enjoy the beaches of Cancun since last September 14

After being closed for several months, the public beaches of Cancun reopened to tourism on Monday, September 14, and are reported free of sargassum.

Bathers can now enjoy Las Perlas beach, Tortugas, Langosta, Forum, Ballenas, Marlin, Coral, the latter the only pet friendly beach in Cancun.

The beaches will have a schedule from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, and where attendees have to follow the sanitary protocol that includes the use of face masks, healthy distance and not exceed the group of 5.

At each access to the beach there is staff from the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (Zofemat), who is in charge, together with the Municipal Police, of verifying that bathers comply with the health security protocol.
