The Colombian tennis player dominates the final and strengthens Cancún’s position as a world-class sports destination On a night filled with excitement and sporting spirit, the awards and closing ceremony of the Open Tennis Cancún WTA 125 took place, reaffirming the promotion of sports and sports tourism in the region. Colombian tennis player Emiliana Arango, ranked 169th in the world, was crowned champion of the WTA circuit after defeating Canadian Carson Branstine in two sets (6-2, 6-1). During the awards ceremony, it was highlighted that this tournament is more than just a competition, as it represents determination, effort, and fundamental values in sports. With the participation of top-ranked tennis players, the tournament not only positioned Quintana Roo on the international tennis map but also strengthened Cancún’s reputation as a host for world-class events.

The  Quintana Roo 2025 Regional Tournament  was a great success, held at the  CTC Cancún and 111 Top Garden facilities, bringing together talented tennis players who showcased their skills in every match. The event, endorsed by the  Mexican Tennis Federation, A.C. , featured enthusiastic participation from athletes in various categories, all competing for the title in an atmosphere of excitement and sportsmanship. The awards ceremony took place at  CTC Cancún , where the champions were recognized for their outstanding performance.
